Saif Ali Khan knife attack live: Actor out of danger, police investigation intensifies

Mumbai: Bollywood’s Nawab Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a shocking knife at his Bandra house on Thursday morning around 2:30 pm. An intruder attacked him, in which Saif suffered 6 injuries, one of which was close to his spine. Currently Saif is in recovery mode at Lilavati Hospital and doctors are monitoring him closely.

Police Investigation Update DCP Dixit Gedam confirmed that one of the accused has been identified through CCTV footage. The intruder used the building’s staircase and entered the 12th floor flat without any forced entry. The intruder fled from there after the attack.

“Police has formed 10 teams to solve this case, and we will arrest the accused soon,” DCP Gedam said.

Saif Ali Khan’s Health Update Lilavati Hospital COO Dr. Uttamani said that Saif has 6 injuries – 2 minor, 2 intermediate, and 2 deep. One injury was very close to the spine, for which immediate neurosurgery had to be done.

“Saif has had a successful surgery and his condition is stable. Doctors are closely monitoring his recovery,” Dr. Uttamani said.

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team released a statement saying, “Saif is stable, the family is safe, and the police is investigating the case.”

Industry and Family’s Reaction After the attack, Saif’s sister Saba Pataudi said on her Instagram, “I am still in shock, but I am proud of bhaijaan for protecting his family. Abba would have been proud of you. Get well soon.

“Saif’s elder son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, was the first to respond and took his injured father to the hospital. Kareena Kapoor assured that her children, Taimur and Jeh, are safe.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee described this incident as “shocking” and said that Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are also under threat. She demanded to increase the security of Saif’s family.

Political Debate Starts This attack has started a political debate on the safety of Mumbai. Opposition leaders demanded the resignation of Maharashtra Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis. But Mr. Fadnavis said, “This is a serious incident, but it would be wrong to call Mumbai unsafe because of this one case.
