SMSGH’s Medical Superintendent, Dr. Sushil Bhati told that among these patients, 14 people have more than 50% burns and they have been kept in intensive care.Dr. Bhati said, “We are trying our best to save their lives. The condition of many people is very serious.” The burn ward in the hospital was specially set up so that treatment could be done quickly.
Response of Rajasthan Government and Officials
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed deep sorrow over this incident and promised to provide all possible help to the families of the victims. He also said that this incident will be investigated soon and action will be taken against whoever is responsible.
Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot also visited SMSGH hospital and met the injured people and boosted their morale. He said, “This is a bitter truth and our heart is with all those who have lost their families in this incident. The state government will provide all possible help.”
The pilot also praised the hospital staff and medical team and appreciated their efforts who were helping people despite such a big incident.
